Ayung Rafting is also called Ubud rafting, this is one of the most challenging white water rafting sites in Bali. The Ayung river location is easily accessible from Ubud, Sanur, Nusa Dua, and Kuta.
It is suitable for any level of rafting experience. The track is 12 kilometers long and takes about 2.5 hours to finish. During the rafting activity, you will be amazed at a spectacular view of unspoiled rainforest, rice fields, magnificent (hidden) waterfall, and amazing stone carving on some areas of the river walls.
Following the International Scale for River Difficulty, there are six grades of difficulty in white water rafting. Each grade is numbered to describe the conditions of the strength of streams, expected waves, rocky conditions, expected drop-offs, and individual skill levels’ ability to maneuver through the river.
Rafting can be dangerous because the flow and depth of the water differ in every place, it is always recommended to be accompanied by a professional instructor. The instructors will explain everything to you, make sure you can conquer the river safely. They are also happy to take pictures of your adventure. If you want to have the best photos, go rafting in the morning to catch the best lighting.
